A Different Kind of Beginning

For years, Jennifer searched for the perfect place to build her dream. In 2022, she chose something completely unexpected — and exactly right.

For years, Jennifer searched for land — not just any land, but something big enough to hold a bold and complicated dream: a working farm, a weaving school, a self-sustaining rural revival built on food, craft, and community.

She imagined 250 acres. Maybe even 500.

But every attempt led to a wall. Paperwork. Politics. Closed doors.

It began to feel less like bad luck and more like the universe clearing its throat.

Then she walked onto a piece of land that no spreadsheet or checklist would’ve picked.

Just five acres.

Not remotely what she’d been looking for.

And absolutely, unmistakably, right.

There was an energy to it. Something rooted. Alive. Encouraging. It didn’t tick every box. It didn’t make perfect sense. But it felt like momentum — like a thread pulling her forward when the big vision had started to feel stuck.

In early 2022, she bought the land.

She named it Evrim FarmsEvrim meaning evolution. And that’s exactly what it is. A beginning that looks different than expected, but carries the same heart: a belief in purpose, sustainability, and a future where weaving, growing, and living are connected.

It may be small. But it’s exactly the right place to begin again.
