It’s hard to believe it’s only been 18 months since we first opened our doors — and what a ride it’s been. Somewhere between the jet lag, the yarn fumes, and hauling towels up and down the Bazaar stairs, we’ve somehow created something real.
Was it smooth? Not even close.
Did we cry? At least twice a week.
Did we laugh? Constantly — mostly at ourselves.
We started with a dream to revive something nearly lost — to work with the last real Turkish weavers still using shuttle looms and natural threads. And guess what? People showed up. Not just to buy towels (though thank you for that), but to be part of something meaningful.
The shop grew. The client list grew. The piles of towels trying to escape the shelves grew. Most importantly, the circle of people who believe in what we’re doing — weavers, team members, clients, cheerleaders from around the world — grew.
There were moments we wondered if it was possible. There were others when we knew — absolutely knew — that it was necessary.
To all of you who’ve supported us, believed in this mad idea, or just wandered in and said “Ooh this feels nice” — thank you. This milestone belongs to you, too.
